MP CM announces Rs 1 crore reward for woman cricketer

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Monday announced a reward of Rs one crore to Kranti Goud, the pace bowler of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, which won its historic first ICC Women’s ODI World Cup beating South Africa by 52 runs on Sunday night.

Kranti Goud (22) hails from Ghuwara village in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

Dr Yadav said that the daughter of Chhatarpur has brought great pride to the state and the nation.

The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup began in 1973, and India won it for the first time, becoming third-time-lucky after reaching the final on the third occasion.
